Duties & Responsibilities
The Chilton County Information Systems Department (CCISD) is staffed and maintained by Network Solutions Group. The CCISD handles all technology related items for 15 departments of the Chilton County Commission. In addition to the server and network rooms, PISI is responsible for all desktops, servers, networks, scanners, printers, cabling, budgets, and is the first point of contact for 12 software applications.
The county network is comprised of 8 servers, 220 desktops, and 3 satellite offices connected via a fiber optic network.
Recent projects include replacement of the counties IBM AS/400, upgrade of network firewalls, switches, and routers, and integration of Swanson Inmate Account and Jail Store management system.
