Commissioner Randell Kelley was born and raised in Chilton County. He attended Cooper Elementary School and Verbena High School, where he graduated in 1972. After graduation he stayed and worked on the family farm with his dad and brothers. He is still farming the same land that his dad started farming as a young boy.
In 1973, Commissioner Kelley married Wilma Davis Kelley. They will be married 49 years this year. They have two children, a daughter, Beverly Kelley Ridgeway, and a son, Keith Kelley. They also have four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Commissioner and Mrs. Kelley have always been an active part of church, for the last 13 years, they have been attending Clanton Church of God, where Mrs. Kelley is the Music Director and Commissioner Kelley is a Sunday School Teacher as well as a member of the Pastor Church Council.
